How Parhayi.com works

Parhayi.com is built around one simple idea: you learn best when you study a little, test yourself at once, fix what you got wrong and then test again. This page explains the whole loop, step by step, and what it means for students, teachers and parents.

The learning loop

Every subject on Parhayi.com follows the same six steps. You do not have to do them in a hurry. Do them in order for one chapter, and then move on to the next chapter.

1. Notes

Start by reading the chapter notes, or by going through the learn cards. The notes are written for the National Book Foundation (NBF) textbook used by the Federal Board (FBISE). They use simple English, short paragraphs and clear headings, and they mark the key points that are most likely to appear in a paper. Diagrams from the book are kept. For Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Computer Science the solved exercises show every step so that you learn the method and not only the answer.

2. Practice

Next, move from reading to doing. The activities let you drag, match, order, label diagrams and run small simulations, and the practice questions let you answer multiple choice, short and long questions on the chapter. Practice is where learning becomes memory, because your brain must find the answer by itself.

3. Test

A chapter test gives you a score. The questions are written on the Student Learning Outcomes of the textbook and follow the pattern of the Federal Board paper. The test is marked at once, and you see the correct answer and a short reason for every question you missed.

4. Weak areas

Every wrong answer is saved in My Weak Areas. The page shows how many questions you answered, how many were correct, how many mistakes are saved and how many are due for a retest. Mistakes come back after a gap, which is the best way to fix them for good.

5. Resource Bank

When a chapter feels strong, open the Resource Bank. It is a very large bank of extra MCQs, short questions and long questions for every chapter, so you never run out of fresh questions. The Resource Bank is for Premium students only.

6. Test Series

Before the exam, Plan My Test Series spreads tests over the days you have left, so that the whole syllabus is covered in good time. After each test the plan shows your weak chapters and gives them another turn. Plan My Test Series is also a Premium feature.

For students

As a student you only need a phone. Make a free account, choose your class and open any subject. Chapter 1 of every subject is open for everyone, and a free account opens about 35% of the chapters in every subject (Maths: half of the exercises). Study one chapter at a time, finish the loop, and look at your report card once a week. The Report Card shows the days you studied, the tests you took, your average marks, and your best and weakest chapters, and you can print it or save it as a PDF.

The Game zone gives you a short break after you have studied. It has a simple timer: study for at least one hour first, then play for up to 15 minutes. The PBA Practical Prep page helps you get ready for the practical based assessment in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Computer Science.

For teachers

Teachers can use Parhayi.com in two ways. First, you can send your students to the chapter notes, the learn cards and the tests, and let them study at their own speed. Second, you can use the Teacher Desk, which makes a board-style question paper with your own header, logo and watermark in a few taps. A teacher account is separate from a student account, and a teacher does not see the student study areas. The Teacher Desk is free while we launch, and your first 2 papers are free.

For parents

Parents do not need to know the subject to help. Ask your child to open the Report Card and show you the days studied and the tests taken. If the numbers are low, sit with your child for the first ten minutes of a study session. If a chapter is marked weak, ask your child to explain it to you in their own words; teaching is the best test of learning. Parents can make an account by choosing I am a Parent. Please keep the password with the student and do not share the account with other children, because one account works on one device at a time.

What is free and what is Premium

Chapter 1 of every subject is free for everyone, even without an account. A free account opens about 35% of the chapters in every subject, with the learn cards, activities, notes, tests and My Weak Areas. Premium opens every chapter of your class, the Resource Bank and Plan My Test Series. Rs 3000 now, Rs 4000 from 15 Dec. You pay by Easypaisa or Raast and Premium opens within 12 hours of your WhatsApp message. Read the Premium guide for the steps and the Refund Policy for the rules.

Parhayi.com now covers Class 9 and Class 10 of the Federal Board. Classes 11 and 12 are coming soon. If you have a question, the FAQ page has the answers to the most common ones, and you can always write to [email protected].
